Staff Roles:
- Editor-in-chief - The student ultimately responsible for overall development and content of the book. The delegate staff assignments, set and enforce a production schedule, edit every page and proof, leads staff meetings, decides theme, design and coverage with adviser, plans ladder with advisor and section editors, and reports to advisor. Someone knowledgeable about the software, great attention to detail, extraordinary follow-through & commitment. A leader by nature, organized, and willing to fill in wherever they are needed. They must also have strong communication skills and the comfort to work with people in person, over the phone, over email, or virtually.
- Copy Editor - Should be a solid student in English and have great grammatical ability. Creative writing skills are encouraged and the ability to simplify text is also a bonus.
- Photo Editor - Should have the ability to choose aesthetically pleasing photographs from thousands of options, great editing skills, strong organizational skills and a commitment to attending events to get the photos needed. Needs to be able to schedule staff and stay on top of events that should be recorded in our yearbook.
- Marketing Editor - Will assist with keeping track of yearbook sales, assist with deposits for the T&A account, and will assist with designing the advertising pages in the yearbook
- Ad Editor - Will coordinate the sales of business ads, student ads & senior ads. They need to have good financial skills and have the ability to assist with ad deposits. They must also be good at designing as they will help with designing business and student advertising pages.

Bucket List Assignment:
1. Download the movie questions and answer the questions as we watch the movie.
2. When the movie is complete and you've answered all of the questions, print and submit.
***You must answer the questions on your own. This is NOT a group project.
3. Complete the bucket list project using the button link below. Be sure to follow all of the assignment expectations in the rubric AND complete the rubric accurately.
4. We will present in class on Monday.
***If for some reason we go virtual, we will present these during our Google Meets.

Week 18: 1/18 - 1/22
Thursday - January 21st - Final Exam
Today we will finish our semester doing some research for our yearbook. You are expected to research the impact that COVID has had on high school education. Be sure to include some statistics, some interesting facts, some positives, and some negatives. You must have 2 FULL pages of content. If you would like to add graphs or pictures, you're welcome to add them, but you still must have 2 full pages of information. In addition to the 2 pages, you will need to have a works cited page, 1 inch margins, 12 point Times New Roman or Arial font, double spaced. This paper is due at the end of the exam session. Feel free to include a personal reflection on how COVID has impacted your personal educational experience. (personal reflection should be limited to 1 paragraph). This will be worth 10% of your semester grade, so be sure to include all of the required pieces.

2. Next, watch the video, Social Media Strategies, found below.
3. Then, in your Google Doc do the following:
- List and describe each of the keys to success.
- Explain what your take-aways are from this video? What were your aha moments? Share at least 5.
- Explain what you think we should do with our social media platform to sell more yearbooks? Be specific and detailed.
4. This is due Monday the 7th. During that Google Meet we will discuss what strategies we want to implement and how we plan to roll it out.

Extended Remote Learning Begins Wednesday, November 11th - Please check website and email every Monday and Wednesday. We will have Google Meets for every class. I will send you a calendar invitation for each of the Google Meets.

Today you will learn some of the basic tips and tricks in Online Design. 1. First, download the Online Design basic tips and tricks PDF below. 2. Open Online Design, and complete each tip & trick. 3. Use one of your assigned blank spreads to do these. 4. Once you have completed them all, e-mail what spread they are on, so I can confirm your work.
